Watching my now 3.5yo daughter developing and discovering the world has been an adventure. She has added joy to our blended family. My work at home mom (WAHM) status has injected a certain amount of stress into an already hectic household.

Every year right about now, our beautiful tuliptree decides to grace us with its majesty. Not in the form of flowers (that's in late April/early May). Not by shading our front yard to help keep us cool.

Our trip to Locust Grove was laid back and relaxing. We had a general plan on what we wanted to do when we set out, but we ended up just following the kids' lead. Sometimes that can be the best kind of adventure.

 We met up at the Green Visitor's Center and decided to walk through the little trail around the back of the center where they had some fairy houses set up. They were a little worse for wear because of the rain, but the littles didn't seem to mind too much. My daughter was mostly concerned with where the fairies had gone off to. She wanted to see REAL fairies.
