Okay, I'll start the first thread.

What do you do to market your product/service? Word of mouth? Facebook? Then what?

haha. i suggested this section, but i suck at starting threads (mostly)

i have a site. i think word of mouth is the best thing in the world for a small business.
i have a myspace and facebook setup for my work (im talking solely photography for all of this, as thats all i really market) but i dont feel like they do much for me other than keep anyone interested in my progress updated.

honestly, ive gotten the best response from forums, such as this one..

my crafts arent as big a deal to me. more something i do to stay sane, and dig making money off of them when i can. when it comes to marketing those i just try to listen to peoples needs and wants. if someone mentions needing something that im capable of making/doing, i let them know.

How's the Saturday morning market going, by the way?

the coming up saturday is going to be the big "grand opening" or what have you.

i think shannon expects quite a bit more stuff than weve had the past couple gatherings. i dont want to steal her thunder though (or give misinformation) so hopefully she gets on sometime and updates everyone.

i really think theyll do quite well once they catch on.

speaking of which, i really need to get crafting!
