Hello ladies!   I'm Molly.  I have two beautiful girls, Lila (3) and Maggie (15 months).  I'm mostly a stay-at-home-mom, but I also work some as an American Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf.  I love both of my jobs.  =)  I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Cameron.  We've been married 6 years.  We have a small farm in Coryon, Indiana with dairy goats (for milk, cheese, etc.), horses, chickens, rabbits, a pig at the moment, a dog, and 2 cats.  We both grew up in New Albany and moved to the country when we got married.  We run a business together that does lawn care, handyman, etc.  He's the grunt work and I do the paper work.  :)  We learn a little more each year about self-sufficiency, but we've also learned that we can't do it all by ourselves.  We live near all our parents and rely on them heavily for childcare and support.  We have a wonderful support system of friends and family.  Looking forward to meeting more of you gals!

What type of farming do you do? Self sufficiency can be a great way to teach your kids about the ways of the world! We're also farmers here in Indiana (Hillsboro), but we grow mostly crops. Sounds like you have a combination of crops and animals? Isn't it fun? My main advice is to share your experiences and ASK QUESTIONS to farmers in your area. We learned from the Amish how to grow crops effectively. They use plastic, drip lines and shurflo pumps to irrigate. We're growing, so we might try their ideas, but at least we know how to do it!
