Ok, the introduction. I'm Angie, mother to Brianna (16) Madeline (13) Serena (4) and one more coming in November. I'm a passionate learner and still trying to figure out my path in life, which I always thought was to be "just a mom" maybe a midwife, but then got divorced and HAD to work.  But I do have lots of life skills I've honed, and I've been an LLL leader, a midwife's apprentice (25 Amish births), a seamstress, a studio back-up vocalist (which I still do whenever I can) and a Mad Science presenter. I've taught private voice lessons, art classes, felting classes, sewing classes and basically expored anything creative. I work as a Waldorf teacher which for now, seems to nicely blend all my creative abilities and challenge me to grow as a parent. But I find full-time work in a small, non-profit school challenging at times, and long to be at home like all you other moms. Lately I'm obsessed with growing my own food, finding local fabric (wouldn't it be nice if all the cloth-making equipment wasn't in China and you could get local, organic cotton, hemp, and linen just like you can obtain your food from local farmers and your music from local musicians? Heck, I'd be satisfied with North America as local!  And you could further reduce your carbon footprint...I'll keep dreaming 'til then) spinning yarn, and turning 40. I want to record a CD of sheep and spinning songs. I remarried a younger man, Chance, who is a fabulous rolfer and fabulous in many, many ways, the greatest way is that he is NOT my first husband! I am in therapy and try hard to heal so my children can heal, know what I mean?
I keep a messy house but I do try to create beauty in my surroundings and am more likely to be clean than organized.
