I have looked and looked, and I can not find anything that I love, plus most of the nighttime diapers are very pricey and i would hate to buy something that doesn't work for us! so far I have been using fitteds with a wool cover. but dd gets so hot in wool that I am looking around-plus I need to get some larger sizes! dd is a very heavy wetter and if she does not wake up I do not wake her to change her.

what do you all use at night!

TIA

I would put DD in a pre-fold with a little newborn pre-fold inside, and snappi it on, and then put really inexpensive plastic pants over the top (in several sizes too big, since it had to go on over 2 pre-folds).  I used both Dappi brand plastic pants and the kind they sell at Babies-R-Us (Gerber, I think?).  The Dappis were softer and had comfier waist and leg bands, but both worked fine and washed/dried easily.  It wasn't a glamorous solution, but it got the job done!

Have you tried Fuzzi Bunz?  We generally use those at night, since I can stuff w/a bunch of inserts and the fleece keeps him dry, so I don't have to change him at night.  My only complaint is that they can gap around the legs at times, and I've had a leak here and there.  I've been working on some wool soakers for him as well.

They can get to be spendy, but you could try diaperswappers.  Or I've had good luck w/ the fuzzi bunz seconds store: http://www.fuzzibunzseconds.net/sto...efault.asp

I have a bunch I got for $12 (and I think if you get 6 or more, the price drops a little), and I can't tell why they are 2nds.

I have tried pockets, but not fuzzi bunz. the problem I have or rather dd has with pockets is that she is so bulky bottomed that she gets madand has trouble sleeping! maybe I will try them again now that she is older!

thanks for the suggestions!

We also use fuzzi bunz at night, but definitely have the same problem Erin mentioned. When she was smaller I would stuff it with two microfibers and a hemp insert. (same solution I used for Asher - a VERY heavy wetter) As she's gotten older, she needs less inserts - bizarre - so I just stuff with two microfibers now. That has helped with the gapping around the legs.

We've also been dealing with some rabid diaper rash lately, I am pretty sure it is due to teething. Seems like every time she teeths she gets horrible diaper rash, no matter how fast I get the diaper off. So I am using a snappi'd prefold with a polar babies fleece liner to wick the wetness away from her skin, and a wool soaker over it. It is working really really well for us.

I also have a diaper made by aprons strings and baby things (or something like that????) that I used for Asher as his nighttime dipe that is an all fleece pocket. I really liked it allowed me to not stuff it as full, since the fleece takes on some of the liquid like wool. It was pricey, but it worked.

Good luck, let us know how it works out for ya.
