I just got my new Beco in the mail.  Yay!  I was so excited to get it I squealed.  So imagine my disappointment when I put Wednesday in the front carry position and found the Beco to be incredibly uncomfortable.  The straps are sitting right under my armpits and it's pretty disagreeable.  I must be doing it wrong.  I mostly bought this one for a back carrrier and the ability to switch users without taking her out, so if it works well as a back carrier, I will probably keep it.  But for front carrying, it seems to be nowhere near as comfortable as the Babyhawk.  Any suggestions/hints/tips?

Unfortunately, I'm finding the same to be true for me as well. The shoulder straps feel stiff and awkward and dig into my armpits in the front carry position. The Ergo is much more comfy for front carries (although nothing compares to the Moby wrap, IMO).

The Beco IS quite comfy, however, for back carries, which is why I bought it. As I need a way to *protect* my newborn from his mostly well-intentioned big sister, I feel the money is mostly worth it. Not to mention, it's just GORGEOUS!!!

I'm on friendlier terms with my Beco now, too. Although it is DH's preferred carrier, while I love my new BabyHawk (complete with glittery skull fabric!). I will probably start using the wrap more often now that it's getting cooler and she is old enough to face outward.

We have 7 different carriers now, and I think our collection is *finally* complete. Maybe ...
