I went there once with a friend and her daughter a couple of years ago. Actually, Kaya went too but she was only a tiny little baby, not even sitting yet. Anyway, I signed her up for a gymnastics class for 2 year olds that starts this week. Any body been there? Have any thoughts? We just need to do something physical in this cold of winter!

I haven't been there, but they are closer to preschool, so I am looking forward to trying out their open gym. Thanks for telling me about it. Let us know how the class goes.

I did the open gym/swim there about a year ago, and it was pretty fun.  Having the pool option was kind of neat, and the gym equipment was pretty good.  I had looked into classes back then, but in the end couldn't work it out since I would have had to be in the class with her until she was 3, and didn't think I'd be able to do it very well w/DS in a carrier (or if that would even be allowed).

I bet you guys will have a lot of fun, let us know how the class goes.

We just got back from our first class and Kaya had a blast! I was surprise at what they were doing, so fast! But, she even got to swing on the trapeze! She hated the warm up stretches b/c she is way too impatient and wanted to play with all the gym stuff, but once we got going on the obstacle courses, she was on a roll learning to flip, balance and most importantly WAITING HER TURN! Yes, toddlers learning to be patient and wait in line for super fun things to come...what a sight! But I think she will enjoy it and gain much from it both physically and socially. Now I have to go buy her a cute little gymnastics outfit like all the other girls. I'm such a sucker!

So, this totally inspired me to sign my DD up.  She starts Friday morning.  Just out of curiousity, what all did they wear? I'm assuming that stretch pants and a  t-shirt would be good enough for at least the first class? I don't know that I'll make it around to get her a leotard or whatever before Friday!

All the kids wore leotards except for us newbies and one little boy. Kaya wore just regular play clothes. They can wear whatever, but the leotards are soooo cute!

We had our first class this morning, and she had a blast.  When we first got there all she was concerned about was whether or not she was going to get a hand stamp at the end , but she's excited to go back next week.  All the kids were so cute!
